Back to School – Holiday Reflections and Activity Pack

A great resource to give learners at the start of any term, not just at the beginning of the year! The resource includes 3 worksheets for students to use to reflect on their holidays. The pack also included 2 fun back to school worksheets for students to complete. -2 truths and 1 lie -Holiday memories -Back to school Bingo -Word scramble -Back to school word search -Answers This resource has been thoroughly designed so no extra prep or specialised ability is needed! It can help form a first day back lesson. Can be easily adapted to suit other lessons you may have already planned. This lesson should be accessible to Year 4- 8 or KS2 and lower KS3. Would go great with ‘Back to school – Holiday and Learning Reflections’ https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/back-to-school-holiday-and-learning-reflections-11186051 Please rate if you enjoyed! Reflection Sheets using KWLH for a unit of work

The KWLH Technique is just one of many graphic organizers that help students organize their thinking for decision-making, problem solving and reflecting. It’s a great method to activate prior knowledge and to help students organize information for learning and in the case of this resource improving their results. This resource has the added benefit of being a great tool to provide evidence for a student’s reflections on their work. I enjoy showing it to parents/ guardians as it helps them understand how they can better support their student at home. K - What I KNOW W – What I WANT to know L – What I LEARNT H – HOW I learnt it Booklet provides 4 reflection sheets, for different stages of a unit, which use the KWLH technique. - Reflecting on the start of a new unit of work - Reflecting on the current assessment task - Reflecting on completion of an assessment item - Reflecting on the next assessment item (how to improve) This resource is perfect for higher KS2-KS3/ Year 5-12.
